Medical study is a very challenging and demanding job that sometimes generates stress in students. The aim of student counselling services is to enhance and promote professional growth, effective communication, stress management and empathy among students as these qualities prevent the students from distress. It is generally believed that the first step is to prepare doctors mentally and emotionally strong, so that they can face difficulties in their personal and professional life and meet the needs and expectations of future.
Academic and Career Counselling
The system of academic advice to students shall integrate with the efforts of Dean, faculty members, counsellors, student affairs officers and the institution’s counselling center services. There shall be a system in place to assist students in career choice and entry to post-graduate programs. Central Park Medical College is committed to promoting and protecting your mental health and overall well-being by providing accessible, culturally sensitive and confidential counselling services.
We are here to support you at times of any emotional, psychological or mental health difficulties. We will work with you to help you manage your well-being and mental health, to develop insights into your situation alongside the tools and strategies to make the most of your time at our College.
The mission of CPMC Counselling Services is to provide a professional and confidential setting for the psychological, emotional, and developmental support of students as they pursue academic goals and explore personal growth. The counsellors act as a resource for faculty and staff to assist with their interactions with students. When this mission is fulfilled, the quality of students’ experience at CPMC is enhanced, and they are more likely to achieve academic and personal success.
Central Park Medical College Counselling Services provides supportive individual counselling free of charge for currently enrolled undergraduate students of the college and students. Group counselling may also be provided according to student’s needs.
