About Prof. Shahida
Dr. Shahida Niazi is a distinguished medical professional with a strong academic background. She completed her MBBS from King Edward Medical University (KEMU) and pursued post-graduation in Histopathology from Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI). She has more than 35 years of teaching experience in Pathology to undergraduate and post graduate students in various public and private sector medical institutions. As a seasoned Professor of Histopathology, Dr. Niazi has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous consultants through her expert guidance. Her extensive administrative contributions to KEMU include serving as Head of the Department (HOD) and Chairperson Department of Pathology till her retirement in 2018.
With a remarkable portfolio of over 40 publications, both on the national and international fronts, Dr. Niazi’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge especially in the field of Pathology is evident. Presently, she is supervisor of the M.Phil. Histopathology program at King Edward Medical University and is on the Editorial Board of Annals of KEMU. Her specialization lies in Gynecological Pathology and Cytopathology.
