The Arts and Literary Society’s “Carnival Summer (Olympiad 2024)” kicked off the fun on the 22nd, transforming the college into a vibrant playground for artistic expression and friendly competition. Students browsed stunning artwork at the Arts Exhibition, while budding artists showcased their skills in the On-Spot Sketching Competition. Gamers battled it out in exciting E-Gaming tournaments, and music lovers cheered on their favorite bands during the Battle of Bands. Food and Gaming Stalls run by students provided tasty treats and engaging entertainment, while workshops on creative writing, painting, and digital art offered valuable learning opportunities. The Talent Hunt segment proved to be a highlight, with participants taking center stage to share their unique talents.
The festivities continued on May 23rd with “Theatrics Day Triumphs,” a celebration of student drama. The Intra-College Drama Competition saw the Doctor of Physical Therapy department take home the trophy with their moving performance about the Palestinian cause. Short films by aspiring student filmmakers added another dimension to the day, showcasing diverse genres and themes. Workshops on acting, directing, and screenplay writing provided aspiring thespians with valuable insights from industry professionals.
The “Surgopath Enigma: Intercollegiate Quiz” also took place on May 23rd, testing the medical knowledge of students from various colleges. Teams from Azra Naheed Medical College and CMH Lahore followed closely behind as 1st and 2nd Runner-Up respectively.
