Department of Cardiology
The Department of Cardiology is equipped with latest state of the art CCU (16-bedded with latest machinery) and 13 male bedded Cardiac ward and 13 bedded female cardiac ward, outpatient clinics Cardiac ER, and latest Cath lab (cardiovascular procedures – Angiography, Angioplasty with stents, temporary and permanent Pacemaker implantation, Inferior Vena Cava Filters) The department offers noninvasive facilities such as ECG, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress test and dobutamine stress echo testing, 24-hour holter monitor, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery
The department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery of Central Park Teaching Hospital is providing a wide range of surgical services. It provides round the clock surgical cover. Laparoscopic surgery e.g. Cholecystectomy, appendectomy and diagnostic laparoscopy are routinely done. Major surgeries performed at the hospital include Gastrostomy, Cholecystectomy, Common Bile Duct Exploration, Colectomy, Abdominoperineal resection, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy etc. Being just adjacent to main Ferozepur road we receive &manage road accidents frequently.
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences
Psychiatry is a medical specialty that deals with the management and treatment of mental disorders. Mental disorders range from mild form as anxiety to severe form as schizophrenia. Other disorders are depression, bipolar illness, stress-related disorders and drug dependence and child and old-age psychological problems. Behavioural Sciences include the study of psychological, social, racial and cultural factors in disease causation. Behavioural Sciences emphasize the need to be kind-hearted and polite towards the patients..
Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Gastroenterology is the subspecialty of internal medicine which deals with the diseases of esophagus, stomach, small intestines, large intestine, colon, rectum and anus. Other vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and gall bladder are also dealt by a gastroenterologist.
