Department of Ophthalmology (EYE)

Department of Ophthalmology is a 15 bedded recognized facility. Our department of Ophthalmology has one of the most qualified faculty consisting of an Assistant Professor, senior registrar, Registrar and Senior Medical Officer. We have a fully equipped and functional out-patient department room which on daily basis receives patients with different ophthalmic problems. Laser room facility is equipped with state of the art Argon Laser Machine for different retinal laser procedures. Established surgical block of 2 operation theatres each for major and minor surgical procedures is fully functional. Our surgeons are carrying out a variety of procedures of both the anterior and posterior segment of the eye with remarkable expertise. Academic program for undergraduates includes lectures, tutorials and clinical rotations to give them a comprehensive knowledge of the subject and patient care. Small ward and operation theatre rotations for students are organized to give them a better understanding of various diagnostic and surgical methods being performed. Library is established in the ward for the teaching of undergraduates and referral books for doctors.
